TomTom MapRoulette Challenges - Correct Too Short Highways and Advanced Map Editing: Validate and Fix Water Objects

Hello everyone,

I’m Kiran, excited to share a Challenge Announcement on behalf of our colleague David. We have two engaging projects introduced by TomTom to enhance the OpenStreetMap database in the United States.

The first project focuses on correcting short highway segments and junctions to address incorrect intersections and potential navigation issues. Your contributions will improve navigation accuracy, and road data analysis, and create a cleaner, more visually appealing map.

• Name: United States - Correct Too Short Highways

The second project aims to correct polygons and multipolygons of rivers, lakes, ponds, and basins, ensuring accurate relations and geometry. By participating, you’ll help ensure seamless navigation and support environmental monitoring.

• Name: United States - Advanced Map Editing: Validate and Fix Water Objects

Let’s work together to create a more precise and visually attractive map for all!
If you have any feedback about this project or any other TomTom activity, please feel free to share. You can find information about all our activities in India in the following GitHub issue: United States | Data Improvements · Issue #143 · tomtom-international/open-data · GitHub

Best,
Kiran

Please, make your challenge invisible, answer the questions and fix your challenge description plus your query and stop adding more of this kind of challenges for other countries.

@skyper. We’ve hidden the challenge based on your suggestions, and it’s no longer publicly discoverable. In the meantime, our team is actively working on improving the “relations” processes behind the scenes. Once these processes are more mature and generate better results, we’ll re-introduce the challenge to the community.
