I’ve added a short Getting started section in the wiki, after realizing we don’t have any one place to direct new users so that they can orient themselves.
I added a list of the essentials tips, based on what I think are the most common first-edit mistakes. Feel free to suggest more items there, but bear in mind the goal is conciseness and not completeness.
Here’s a Hebrew draft. I think translating the whole Wiki and keeping that up to date is way too much work and is unnecessary, but I can certainly keep the “getting started” translation up to date.
This might be very useful when on-boading new users who are less familiar with English. At least the essential guidelines would be available to them. We could send both the guide as a comment on their first changeset (Preferred over private messages so that they do not get duplicates from multiple users).
