Dear all,
The second voting on the power circuits proposal has ended last Thursday.
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposal:Power_circuits_routing
It gathered 9 pros, 0 cons and 1 abstain and it is now approved.
Taking care of the comments raised during the first vote was the best option to clarify and refine what was proposed and get it finally approved. Thank you to everyone involved in it.
Best regards

As mentioned on talk page I have doubts whether vote was announced as required by Proposal process - OpenStreetMap Wiki
Maybe I missed it - but where was thread announcing second vote? Have it been posted on mailing list?
If proposal process requirements were not fulfilled then it was not approved by proposal process.
Well, although I think there are way better points to make to celebrate what took us 8 years to converge toward a supported proposal composed of contribution from Russian, German and French people at least, here are some facts.
First and second rounds has been announced the same way:
We were glad to get a mention of 2nd round in the OSMWeekly 780 and had no intention to hide anything undergoing about this proposal.
The first vote round didn’t rose such comments and both rounds gathered enough feedbacks.
Many commenters found their way and it lead to 2 round of voting
That’s not what Proposal process regulates: If the proposal has found enough support, the status can be set to approved
Any change in this direction should be discussed first
So required post on mailing list was missing and required thread at community forum was missing.
if you are not following steps required by proposal process then you do not get to claim you are following steps required by proposal process
It looks like we have different reading of the same document.
I think it’s a bit late to make such point at the end of second round if the problem occurred from the very beginning without any hand raised.
Is it the only remaining argument against this proposal?
It is argument not against proposal, but against claiming that it was approved in accordance with proposal process.
It should be fixable by extending vote and announcing it properly, as required.
