I would like to notify you with a new MapRoulette challenge Bulgaria - Fix Building and Highway Intersection. When buildings intersect highways in OSM data, it creates routing errors (e.g., suggesting roads pass through structures) and visual inaccuracies that undermine navigation apps, emergency services, and other application and systems relying on OSM.
This challenge, aims to resolve these conflicts by correcting misplaced buildings/highways or adding tags (e.g., layer=1 for bridges) to ensure accurate, safe routing. The team identified overlaps between OSM buildings and highways using spatial analysis. Tasks focus on same-level conflicts, excluding properly tagged elevated roads. Some may be false positives—mark these as “Not an Issue” if verified.
