Fire Hydrant Mapping UK

I’ve been reading that there have been efforts in the past to try and obtain fire hydrant location information via FOI requests from various fire services with national security being listed as the reason for refusal.

Many years have gone by and it now appears this location information is available via a Hydrant Mapping website all be it with a copyright.
https://dataservices.riscauthority.co.uk/map/index
Which is run by the Fire Protection Association.
www.thefpa.co.uk

So I thought I would highlight that the information is more available.

The original post I found by @brianboru is here.

Do you know if any of this data is available under a suitable license?

All I can see is the footer saying:

© 2025 - RiscAuthority File Version: 2.0.0.7 Assembly Version: 2.0.0.7

Which isn’t very encouraging for anything other than to help fend off some of the more paranoid positions mentioned in the Mappa Mercia blogpost.

Truly astonishing - thanks for the heads-up.

The original FoI request was mine, BTW:
