I really like to improve hiking trails.
I recently created Wikidata:WikiProject Hiking trails - Wikidata
I noticed that some users photo and add information about guideposts to hiking trails in Italy.
I think it be valuable to have an item for every guidepost on a trail and link it together with the trail section in Wikidata.
Now OsmAnd has built in support for fetching images via Wikidata on OSM objects other renderers and apps could easily do yhe same.
This would solve the problem of how to best link images for guideposts which is ongoing here
