Why are contributors here OpenStreetMap
different from contributors here
Contributors - OpenStreetMap Wiki ?

Wouldn’t it be easier to get permissions to use data if we could say that most of the maps will display them behind the ©OpenStreetMap link in the corner?

Edit:
It looks like licenses on OpenStreetMap include CC-BY 4.0 ones. I find it strange that CC-BY is discouraged, but some data sources are getting special treatment. If a map doesn’t link ©OpenStreetMap to that page, are these licenses violated?

To me, OpenStreetMap is more focused around the licensing of using the OSM database itself, whereas Contributors - OpenStreetMap Wiki is about the data we are putting into OSM from third parties.

Two different use cases.
