I’ve searched for Луковецкий, which is in the map, but it isn’t found (see image). Why?
Because Nominatim is a third-party service
and if your search doesn’t exactly match what you’re looking for, it won’t return anything relevant
For instance the o you typed could be a Latin o.
Ask the map to get the name in the database, and compare, it must be a little difference.
Hmm, now, when I search, I get a result. Strange. (And I have copied the search string from my browser history, so I haven’t typed anything different.)
No it isn’t and even if it is was, it is a question of the relevant design goals, not of who operates it.
How is that comment in any way helpful?
You’re welcome to make a contribution to:
- address spelling issues
- ensure that any delay in background data processing is made clearer
Until you can do that criticism of people who are trying to provide services like this is at best unhelpful.
