I just made my first edit as I noticed a local path was missing. Changeset: 158227289 | OpenStreetMap
I don’t know if I’ve got all the tagging right. I requested a review but I don’t know if anyone from the OSMUK community systematically reviews changes so I decided to post here to ask if someone could please check that I’ve done it right.

foot=yes could alternatively be tagged as foot=designated I think?
This is recommended PROW tagging on at least one bit of the wiki, but it wouldn’t surprise me if there’s a conflict somewhere.

Thanks for the feedback. I did also get a review of the change by @BCNorwich who spotted that part of the route is a track and made the updates.
I did use the wiki official page and Rob’s unofficial page to guide me, so I’m glad it looks like I followed it properly!

@madbilly If you’re interested in mapping and tagging other public rights of way in that area, then you might find my comparison site at https://osm.mathmos.net/prow/progress/ useful. For counties where I’ve got the data, there’s a page for each parish comparing the OSM data to the official records from the Council. e.g. for Cowley, we have https://osm.mathmos.net/prow/progress/gloucs/cotswold/cowley/ .
Thanks Rob, yes I’ve seen your pages, very helpful. If I find things that don’t seem to be well mapped I’ll use your information to help me understand and try and map them right.
