I’m writing an instruction för an osm project.
Where should images belonging to the instruction be uploaded? On the osm-wiki site or some external site?
These images are very specific for the instruction, and have no value in other places.
You can upload to OSM Wiki, but also Wikimedia Commons is fine.
“Instructions for specific OSM tutorial” is already fulfilling “realistic educational purpose”.
Mediawiki Commons also has much better upload process, especially collecting all relevant legal info answering why images can be kept.
Images on Mediawiki Commons can be directly used also on OSM Wiki.
