What software do you recommend for editing GPX traces?

I’m looking for software to edit some GPX tracks. I tried using JOSM for this, but I found that it messed with the GPX data (eg it removed some metadata).

I want to be able to:

  • Delete points
  • Alter timestamps
  • Add points
  • Split traces into 2 new traces
  • Delete segments (eg delete before, delete after)

I have been using GpsPrune from Activity Workshop - GpsPrune . Works well enough for my purposes, give it a try and see if it covers your needs.

Obviously some things have changed since then, but answers to a previous 2017 question are quite detailed and may still help.

I still just use a text editor :slight_smile:
