Weird changeset comments

Hello.
So I was editing and I saw somebody doing edits with some weird changeset comment, some of them not even using it at all. Here is the example:

https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/mapping_around/history#map=3/28.76/41.95

What do you think about this?

they are not using changeset comment at all

I asked them to improve it in future in Changeset: 163197288 | OpenStreetMap

If they will ignore it, you can write to DWG

Whether committing change sets without a comment which is auto saved to the database as ‘no comment’ or 1000s of times always replicating the same " Some buildings details based on Bing have been added.", on and on and on, makes no difference what he does

(wrote once to the gent and got no response. edits all sorts of stuff, but there’s only Some buildings details based on Bing have been added.

And there’s plenty of those doing this, another one responding ‘if you want to know go review’ and ‘I’ve been here a very long time’, a seeming excuse for not doing proper comments. I look with Better-osm-org at times for oddities, but beyond that…

this is adding some info - it confirms that changes are not made based on survey

and that if they say deleted shop it was mistake (or worse)

This “(no comment)” is (unfortunately) the default setting of their editor software: Go Map!! - OpenStreetMap Wiki, (which I also use).

At 35 changesets I think this user could use some help instead of involving the DWG…

is GoMap complaining if no problem changeset description was set?

I did so, by making comment that should give them info what is going wrong

One can delete what is there in the upload window, then this is the result: Changeset: 163243022 | OpenStreetMap

There’s no validation of comment text or length present.
