Use of Japanese National Land Information Division data?

Any Japanese mappers on here?

Wondering if we have permission to use https://nlftp.mlit.go.jp/ksj/jpgis/datalist/KsjTmplt-W05.html which says that it’s “Copyright(c) National Land Information Division”?

Not anymore, as it is now “非商用” non-commercial. It has been done before, and stopped. Import/Catalogue/Japan KSJ2 Import - OpenStreetMap Wiki

Are you referring to the original import?

Not a lawyer (and not Japanese) but … if it was OK to import the data when it was first done, then presumably it’s legal to keep it, we just can’t import the new releases of the data with an incompatible licence?

No, mapping by a new user which has copied from there (together with quite a few issues in other aspects of their mapping :cry:)
