Use multiple pre-selected ways for Parallel tool

(Sorry I’m a bit new to JOSM, couldn’t find any info on this) When I select multiple ways by shift-clicking and use the parallel tool, the tool is invoked on all the ways. But when I ctrl-f and now have several ways in the selection list window, the moment i click one of the ways and drag, parallel tool is only invoked on that one way (instead of all the ways)

(If it matters, I’m mapping bridge areas)

Same for me. Selecting through “Search”, Selection panel “Select”, Tags/Memberships panel “Search Key/Value” or utilsplugin2 “Undo selection” all show the problem.
Manually changing back and for the selection or the edit mode is a workaround.
