Firstly, I would like to thank you for your long-time contributions to OSM, it is much appreciated! And I personally do not think there is a need for anyone to waste their time documenting the situation (at this time, at least).
But I would ask if people currently being (or considering to become) moderators would be open to an idea of making clear your OSM-related affiliations on your Discourse profile pages?
e.g. something like employed by HOT since 2022
(or OSMF board member 2018-2022
, etc. - whatever is correct for each person, of course!) directly at e.g. https://community.openstreetmap.org/u/mapeadora?
I think we as Discourse moderators should be especially transparent about that, to avoid being accused of hiding possible conflict-of-interest affiliations. (even when we ourselves know when our affiliation is not impacting our judgement).
What do you think?
