In June 2025, TomTom is sharing a MapRoulette challenge detecting highways with angles of less 45 degrees for possible correction. Canada - Sharp Angles on Highways. There are 133 tasks on the challenge.
Typically the highway alignment needs some minor improvements. But as seen in the example below, some cases may require extensive updates.
As always false positives are possible. If in doubt, flag the task as Not an Issue.

Is there a reward to the challenge?
There are no cash rewards or prizes for participating in the challenge.
TomTom does support local OSM communities and chapters with donations to help cover food/drinks at mapping events or meet-ups, sponsor State of the Map events across the globe (including travel stipends or scholarships) and hosting meet-ups at our offices. We also host some OSM trainings and perform validation for mapping events.
