My team at TomTom has identified 772 locations in United States where there are duplicate nodes, nodes very close together, or where nodes at one end of a highway are not connected.
We’ve launched a new MapRoulette challenge to host these tasks: https://maproulette.org/challenge/42081/ Here’s an example of a task location:
While most tasks are located on highways there may be some tasks located on other types of ways (buildings or land use). We expect most situations can be resolved by merging nodes, connecting highways, or slightly realigning nodes and ways.
Our editing team plans to pick-up this challenge in a couple of weeks starting after December 19, 2023. As always, the challenge is public, so anyone that’s interested can take a look at the tasks or participate.
