The name of "Rüti" in Switzerland

Someone has just changed the name of https://osm.mapki.com/history/node/240079241 to their preferred value. As you can see from the history, not everyone agrees with this.

The user doing the editing is the same one discussed here and is the same person as " user_18840068" and " user_18794293" in that edit history.

If the name has been discussed previously, and the current edit is wrong, I’d be grateful iif someone could please comment on the changeset pointing out the previous discussion, and revert the data. If you’d like to contact the DWG about this please email data@openstreetmap.org with a subject of “[Ticket#2023041110000115] yannis323”.

This is tricky.

The way we normally deal with this is that the name of the municipality retains the official, disambiguated, name, and the admin centre gets a place node that uses the simple name. While not perfect, this seems to be a reasonable compromise.

With other words the edit by Wikilux back in September last year was already wrong. The current state by Changeset: 134936067 | OpenStreetMap is actually correct (I would argue that the official name is not even Rüti ZH).
