I think that means that the problematic point is close to your start. Are you familiar with Garmin Mapsource or Basecamp?
If yes, please try to create a route from this start to the closest destination that causes a crash. Save that route as gpx or gdb
and post a link. Maybe I can reproduce a crash and find out the cause.
