I’d like to request some guidance on tagging waterway access points for light watercraft such as canoes, kayaks, and lightweight boats. I’m specifically thinking of locations open to the public where light watercraft can be hand-carried to the water’s edge for launching. Slipways does not seem to apply, since ramps are absent, but maybe it’s the best generic tag with the proper qualifiers. “Access” seems to carry a legal rather than physical connotation in OSM. “Launch” and “landing” do not appear to have seen much use in OSM. Thanks for any suggestions.
There are a number of whitewater specific tags described here https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Whitewater_sports.
They are not rendered, although in the past people have built simple rules for rendering them.
