Switzerland - Fix Intersecting Buildings

FRA:

Merci,
Salim

Hallo Schweizer OpenStreetMap Community,

Danke,
Salim

ENG:
Hello Switzerland OpenStreetMap Community,

I would like to inform you that we’ve added 384 new tasks to the Switzerland - Fix Intersecting Buildings MapRoulette challenge.

Addressing intersecting buildings is crucial for improving OpenStreetMap’s accuracy and usability. These inconsistencies can make maps appear cluttered and confusing, hindering their effectiveness for both humans and machines. By correcting these issues, we ensure that the map accurately reflects the real-world layout of Austrian areas.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me via this forum or other channels if you have any questions.

Thank you,
Salim

By the way, that link just leads to an empty blue/green/teal screen for me with no content.

@Taktaal Have you logged in successfully?
You should see something like that:

What does the page look like if you just call up the URL https://maproulette.org?

I’ve seen several ‘false positives’ now that I’ve done some tasks.
False positives are happening when one building has no layer-information tagged, and another, intersecting one has either layer=1 or layer=-1.
Would it be possible to remove those buildings, or should these tasks simply be skipped or marked as non-issue?

One edge-case is task 220116845, which highlights Way: 30758545 | OpenStreetMap with layer=1 but the issue are probably the (several) elevators with differing level-tags. under it.

Hello @habi ,
Thank you for your input, do you have an example or two for to illustrate the issue and then can discuss that internally?

Sorry, not enough sleep from my side . I stumbled over tasks where buildings with different level tags. For example Task 220117095, which brings up Way: 387321801 | OpenStreetMap and Way: 387321807 | OpenStreetMap.
These intersecting buildings should show up as issue…

One edge-case is task 220116845, which highlights the train station building with layer=1 encompassing several overlapping elevators.

Thank you @habi , I will look into this case and come back to you. Please do not hesitate to send more examples if possible, it will help me as you know to exclude or have attention to more cases.

Hello again @habi , everyone,

We’ve refilled the Switzerland - Fix Intersecting Buildings challenge with 511 tasks, excluding elevators and similar structures. We’ve also updated our process to prevent these types of tasks from being generated in the future. Do you mind having a look and of course give your feedback if possible.

Thank you.
