Sweden - Fix Too Close Junctions

Hello Sweden OpenStreetMap Community,

I would like to announce a new MapRoulette challenge: Sweden - Fix Too Close Junctions

What is the goal of the challenge?

To fix junctions where roads are placed too close, causing very short road segments and incorrect connections. These issues lead to navigation errors, inconsistent map visuals, and reduce map usability.

Why is it important to fix these?

  • Accurate Navigation: Ensures routing apps give correct directions.
  • Consistent Data: Keeps map data clean and easier to maintain.
  • Clear Visualization: Improves how roads and junctions appear on the map.
  • Better User Experience: Supports reliable trip planning and navigation for all users.

How were the tasks created?

Tasks were generated by identifying junctions less than 50 cm apart, often due to incorrect road joins. Lower-class roads (like driveways) were excluded. Some tasks may be false positives—please mark those as “Not an Issue.”

If you have any comments, feedback, or inquiries about these challenges, please feel free to contact me by replying to this message, via email, or through direct messaging.

Regards,
Salim
