Sure, detail about physical properties is good; I don’t think anyone has a problem with that. But I don’t think there are many mappers who’d go through the trouble of determining the legal or physical clearance of an overpass, only to toss that measurement out in favor of hgv=no
. When someone tags bicycle=no
based on practicality, they lack either the data or the vocabulary to articulate precisely why, or they haven’t even given it much thought and consider it to be self-explanatory. We should totally develop that vocabulary, but a simple Boolean flag can still be a decent first approximation.
