To “defend” the community a little, proposed roads are a little difficult to deal with.
First of all, there are not visible on carto, therefore a lot of times you won’t know they are there until You randomly start to edit the area.
Secondly, there is no easy way to find out which of proposed roads are correct and which are not. Usually sources are not provided, and even if they are, they could be on different places (eg. on changeset comment, or tag on the road). And to make things even harder, it’s not clear when the proposed should be added - some mappers add them when there are multiple variants, or on very early stages.
If I remember correctly, Perimex was mixing up correct changes with incorrect ones, making it very difficult to filter them. It’s a lot more work than it may seem on the surface. If international community has already figured that out, please let us know.
