NSW turn restriction import

Hi,

I’ve been working on an application for routing in NSW and have come across a few instances of missing no-right-turn restrictions.

I’m more than happy to contribute these locations back to the map, but I was wondering if anyone knew if there is a dataset provided by the state gov with this information that might be more up to date than what is currently there.

Hi Jw1t - keen to hear more about your project, if possible!

Transport NSW will likely have the dataset you seek, but it will only be for State Roads. All other roads (i.e. local streets) are managed by each council authority. I doubt, other than OSM, there are any open source datasets. Google Maps, Apple Maps, Precisely have it, but not accessible. Overture perhaps?

My search foo may not be working, but I can’t see anything that would give us this information https://opendata.transport.nsw.gov.au/

I believe that the current turn restrictions are based on survey.

Please go ahead and update them in OSM, I’m not aware of any open dataset we could possibly use.

Potentially Mapillary may have detected some which we are missing, and Grab publish some detection at https://improveosm.org/ but from what I can see nothing in Australia.
