Just to let everyone know, could anyone help change O’Connell Street to dual carriageway all the way up to Grose St, where there seems to be an ambiguity in whether it should be dual carriageway or as it currently is though it is obvious that everything up to that point from Church Street intersection should be dual given the barriers in the middle (personal experience, streetview). This was responding to the note https://www.openstreetmap.org/note/4818171. Moreover, I see several problems in North Parramatta around the area in terms of turn restrictions and footpath mapping.
Looks reasonable to me, the general consensus is that as long as there’s a physical barrier, mapping dual carriageways separately is fine. I wouldn’t bother for tiny segments, but for larger ones like that it’s completely reasonable.
One thing to watch out for is relations, if there are any route relations along there and you have issues, feel free to mention that here (or in #oceania in the OSM World Discord if you’re in there) and someone might be able to give you a hand.
