I tried to install nominatim and I think, I succeeded. At least, that’s what I guess, because it can already do a well enough reverse geocoding, giving me information about points inside the bounds of the .osm file I used, for example…
http://192.168.100.231/nominatim/reverse?format=xml&lat=50&lon=12&zoom=18&addressdetails=1
…which gives me the correct place in germany.
But, and that’s my problem, a search doesn’t turn up anything at the moment, even for the points I can reverse geocode. I get a searchresult, but the result never contains any places. I tried different varations from the wiki page, just changed the data, but… nothing. My words table also only seems to contain countries and some other stuff, no place names, streets, etc. Does anyone have an idea where I could start looking what I missed?
