New user creating dubious edits

Hi, me again, twice in one day!

I’ve spent lots of time on the maps in the area today and I’ve just stumbled across a new user who has created some very dubious edits.

User is Verney Fields

A new account spun up on the 10th December.
All their edits are dubious, editing the Town Council to the ‘Communist’ party and what looks like at best an attempt at humour, or at worst doxing.

All edits are obviously false and have no suitable change comments.

This appears to be politically motivated. ‘Verney Fields’ is the name given to an area of land in Stonehouse that the Town Council have very recently successfully applied to add several historical footpaths via the DMMO process.

Let me know if I should report officially via the Data Working Group or if there is a better community for this.

Normally the suggested approach where there is a bit of a dispute is to have a chat with the mapper about the problem, and if that doesn’t work raise it in the forum, followed by a mail to the DWG at data@openstreetmap.org if that doesn’t work.

Here, it’s pretty obvious what they’re doing so a quick revert makes sense.

Thanks @SomeoneElse hopefully it doesn’t happen again and I don’t have to follow that process but based on recent history and ongoing events in the area you might be hearing from me again :joy:
