Yes, that clicking that splodge at top left does work, but it isn’t obvious what it is for.
The B is presumably for bold (but it isn’t bold!). The I is at least italic. The “can’t delete a link in whatever edit mode is the default” is still a problem, of course**.
The ability to respond with anything other than a seems also to be missing on mobile?
Edit: Only one mobile (Nokia X10, Firefox 142.0.1, Android 14, regular or private browser, also Firefox nightly 144.0.a1 on same device). Another Android 14 Firefox 142.0.1 does not, and an Android 10 Firefox 142.0.1 one does not). Other differences are that the non-working one has is this menu style in Firefox rather than this more sensible one. I’ve no idea what set the former instead of the latter** (and note that Mozlla’s statement is clearly untrue - the new style menu is displayed in some circumstances but not others, so it must be possible to change the factors that affect menu style).
** although a newly installed FF 142.0.1 in a different partition on the same device shows the old menu but still has the Discourse bug, so that FF problem isn’t causing the Discourse bug.
Can we just turn things like this off across the site until they are working?
Obviously there are benefits to the upgrade (some translations working again) but quite a bit seems either broken (editing until you press an unlabelled button) or undocumented (new posts).
The ability to see context when replying has also been lost.
