New to handheld GPS

Hello all,

I was wondering if someone could please help me figure out how to load a free map onto my new Garmin Oregon 650. I have never owned a handheld GPS or even a regular GPS for that matter. I would really appreciate any help you could offer.

I wanted to install a map for Europe (for city travel) and a topo of New Zealand.
