Where can I find a map of the power grid in Nepal? This would preferably be in .shp or .kml format, as I plan to overlay it with the locations of satellite-tagged birds to identify hotspots of electrocution risk.
Probably the best way is via overpass-turbo, but it’s not clear how well mapped power lines are for Nepal. I believe a bit was mapped after the Kathmandu earthquake (for rescue helicopters). This would enable a geojson download: https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/1afI
power=line are the ones most likely to be of interest for bird strike, although minor lines along prominent fly lines may also be an issue. There is very little of the latter mapped.
