I have recently posted a couple of new tracks using Potlatch but now I notice that, at certain zoom levels, they are missing from the map. Is this a problem with my editing or my displaying the map? As far as I can see, the new tracks have the same tags as similar ones nearby.
When you are editing you are changing the database. This database is then used to generate map tiles for the different zoom levels. That takes a little time, so when you zoom in and out initially features appear and disappear, because you are seeing ‘old’ and ‘new’ tiles. This is normal and stops after a while, once all the tiles have been regenerated.
