Merging address tags into buildings

I’ve been slowly learning JOSM, but ran into the limitation that I can only merge 1 address and building at the same time.

Is there some way this can be done with entire blocks at once using JOSM? At my current rate, it will take me more time to merge the addresses than it took me to add them in the first place.

That describes using JOSM, the “Conflation” plugin, and lots of more time-saving tricks—like using:

• “Coloured Streets” to quickly color-code “which houses belong to which streets”
• JOSM’s “Filter” feature to quickly “only show me building=houses, while graying out all the rest”!
  • Makes “mass selecting” entire blocks of houses SO MUCH EASIER than one-by-one Shift+Clicking on individual buildings!!!

I first learned how to “merge addresses for entire neighborhoods” based on @watmildon’s great User Diary. I’ve since expanded upon that with even easier/faster methods!

[…] I know that I could achieve the same result with something like the MapWithAI plugin for JOSM, but I simply found JOSM way too convoluted and hard to use, and after spending 2+ hours trying to understand the absolute basics, I just gave up, but I’m open to trying it again.
