I am trying to clean up some of the cycle routes in my area, which are out of order in many cases. I would like to know what is the proper way to map routes with gaps or spurs. It’s not very clear to me from the wiki.
Gaps: Many cycle routes are incomplete, and have two or more sections with gaps in between. Cyclists may ride the whole thing, filling in the gaps themselves, but there is no official route in those sections. In some cases there is a proposed route.
Spurs: Some cycle routes have a main (linear) route along with a spur that branches off of it. These are to access attractions that may be a bit off the main route.
