Map builder going global

What I think could be good interim solution that we can do to relieve impact: if you think your region/country should not have Map builder edits whatsoever (until we provide better imagery choices), please discuss it inside your community and if accepted - shoot us a mail at osm@microsoft.com and we will remove it from Bing (people browsing Bing maps will not see “Edit maps” button).

Please do not put the burden on the local communities to discuss to ban Map Builder. Instead, I ask you to offer Map Builder only in those regions where you can verify that Bing imagery is the best available source.

I have seen enough data damage by buggy editing software. We have an established online editor which development is funded by the OSMF and its donators. If you can’t meet the requirements for a good software, your software should not modify the production database but use the Dev API.
