Its awesome you want to add to OpenStreetMap.
But please do not simply delete Objects as there might be various aerial imagery available where the houses still are and there might be mappers who map from home who could be enter the houses again if they don’t know about the fires.
Please us the Lifecycle prefix - OpenStreetMap Wiki instead.
Luckily, there are restraints so we were able to catch this quickly 
If you want, i can revert the changeset you made already so you can change it correctly
