Is there a rule that says busways have to be mapped as a dual carriageway, even when the lanes are not physically separated? I know roads can only be mapped as such if there is a physical barrier between them, but does this apply to busways as well? It makes the map very cluttered.
This video shows how it looks like from a close angle: simply 2 lanes, only separated by paint.
The yellow dashed line marking at least implies buses can legally pass through the opposite direction, eg broken-down vehicle. There’s no functional reason to split it (even solid lines should still use change=no ). This should be lanes=2 as any other roadway. Emergency vehicles may be able to use it as well. railway=tram is different. It has physical tracks, switches with service=crossover in between, and they aren’t supposed to be used for multi-track drifting.
