Hello OSM Ireland,
I’m would like to announce a new MapRoulette challenge: Ireland – Fix Incorrect Highway Junctions. The goal of this challenge is to correct instances where highway junctions are inaccurately or imprecisely mapped. These mapping errors can disrupt navigation, impact map visualization, and reduce the overall usability and accuracy of the OSM map for everyone.
Common issues include:
- End nodes of highways that are within 2 meters of another highway but not properly connected
- Highways that are less than 0.5 meters from a junction without a correct connection
Please note: Some of these cases may have already been fixed by other mappers, or may be false positives. If you encounter such instances, kindly mark them as “Not an Issue.”
