I can't log into the MapComplete instance of Panoramax (on desktop)

TL;DR: How do I log into the MapComplete instance of Panoramax so that I can upload some street level images?

Background:

I want to contribute street level images to Panoramax. I’m primarily a desktop user, so my workflow involves taking photos in the field, coming back to my desk, processing my images, and then uploading them in a web browser. I’m US-based, so I thought I’d try the MapComplete instance of Panoramax, but currently I’m stuck b/c when I visit https://panoramax.mapcomplete.org/ and click “Login” in the top right, I’m taken to a login page. Then, I enter my OpenStreetMap username and password and click “Sign In,” and it says, “Invalid username or password.” I’ve tested on both Firefox and Chromium.

Meanwhile, I’ve successfully uploaded to the France-based instance (logging in using my standard OpenStreetMap credentials), so I’ll keep doing that, but I was thinking since I’m US-based, the MapComplete instance might be preferable. I know b/c of de-centralization it doesn’t really matter which instance I use, but I’d really like to figure out how to upload to the MapComplete instance if possible. Thanks!

Screenshot:

This instance is only open to picture uploads done using the MapComplete app itself, not from desktop or other ways.

Just a reminder: the OSM France instance accepts pictures outside of France only for testing… we won’t be able to globally store pictures from all over the world for limited storage reason.

Hi @cquest, I am working on Every Door app to integrate Panoramax API in it to upload images and for viewing purpose as well. What’s the best way to do it if I don’t want to host a dedicated Panoramax server?

Thanks!

We support oauth2 in Panoramax API
That’s the way to login, then we have an upload API

I’m not too familiar with that part. I invite you to ask on Technique - Forum GéoCommuns
