Humanitarian map not loading at least for UK/London area

Is that actually a viewer that’s meant for general use? Their main page now just links back to openstreetmap.org for a fullscreen view.

OpenStreetMap France has its own forum here that might be able to tell you what’s going on.

Roughly the same area in openstreetmap org itself.

Edit: BTW this is at zoom 7

The humanitarian map is also not working in the Eastern United States on openstreetmap.org. I cannot get it to load once I zoom in past Zoom 4. It was working perfectly fine yesterday. It is such a good tool for my work as a librarian when making maps of neighborhoods for my junior colleagues.

Try reporting it at https://github.com/osm-fr/infrastructure/issues.

I had an inking I’d seen a link to something like this at one point, but I couldn’t find it.

I need to think of a sensible place to write it down for next time.

Do you know when it will be fixed ? I really need to know ! Thank you

What features are you looking for on a map? Perhaps, while this layer is being fixed there is another one that you could use?

I’fe been doing a project using it and can’t start over . It’s just a beautiful layer . Hope it gets repaired soon !:pray:

You could create you own map tiles in that style

I can try , do you know how much longer it’ll be until the layer comes back ?

I would like to know as well what is goin on with this layer. Getting fixed anytime soon ?

You are probably better of asking this question in the thread I linked.

Would you like some help creating your own map layer in that style?

Yes but I just really like that map layer . I’m really upset it’s been gone , I just hope it comes back soon

When is it coming back ?

If you’d like to set up a copy of that map for yourself:

  • Pick whichever option on the switch2osm serving tiles page works for you
  • Run though that (and ask questions here if you have them)
  • Then grab a copy of the humanitarian style and have a look at the installation instructions
  • Those instructions are quite old, but you’ll be able to see the newer matching versions from the “switch2osm” guide to see what you have to do with the Humanitarian style.

I can’t bc it’s the same as standard now
