the primary tag ‘craft’ seems to learn towards for-profit sites, while leisure is for non-profit (mostly). How would I tag a building, and grounds, owned/operated by a non-profit quilting guild ?
The node in question is 1162702324, and is currently tagged as residential (which, to the best of my knowledge, it has never been).

I don’t think that craft necessarily denotes for-profit sites. Among the values listed in Wiki, there are several other textile-related crafts (embroiderer, tailor, weaver etc.) as well as an apparently non-commercial craft=atelier.
That being said, I would add another tag that signifies it’s a collective operation, probably a club. Perhaps club=social or club=art, although the documentation for both is very vague.
