For example https://streetcomplete.app/p/305885.jpg which is the case of a post collection box tied to a tree.

I guess the question when generalized becomes : how to map a feature that is attached to another feature when both features are forced to be points

Use a node for each feature. You can use support=tree for the post collection box.

yes, if you want to map the relationship you could use a node-relation with the attached_to role but it is not used often and you risk of being overseen ;-)
