How to include a map with flags in my website?

Hi folks,

for our local Freifunk community, we have a map with the hotpots flagged on it: http://freifunk.xika.de/karte.php

We have a database with the names and coords in it and we use the Google Maps API for rendering the map. That works but I would prefer a non proprietary map. Is there a possibilty to include such a map on our website but with OSM?

Yes ofcourse. The OpenSource Google maps variant OpenLayers is perfect for this.
