How do I make a building like this?

Hello there!
I wanted to create an area that is round

How can I create an area that is round? (I tried by typing O but its hard)

Here is an example:

The first question is, what OSM editor are you using?

Maybe the standard online editor ID?
Using right-click options, have a look at LearnOSM

Maybe Java editor JOSM?
Using the given Tools functionality LearnOSM

Other tools have similar options…

Personally, I use the standard online editor ID.

At least with JOSM, you can select any number of nodes (more than 2 nodes) and apply ‘o’ to them. If these nodes build for instance 1/3 of a roundabout or building, JOSM makes only that part round.

appropriate avatar and username, lol

I usually create a temporary way to circularize in cases like this, just put a way over all three circles and hit the circle button (in the context menu, tho there is a keyboard shortcut too, I forget what it is offhand). I do a similar trick all the time with the Square button to ensure two parts of a building stay rectangular

the JOSM trick mentioned above might work too, but I’m not sure one way or another

In JOSM:

  • Draw a diameter, use “Create Circle” (Shift-O)
  • Repeat 4 times for the 4 major circular parts
  • Draw the missing parts as separate areas (free-hand)
  • Select all parts and join them (Shift-J)

For parts of a circle there is also the “Circle Arc” tool that can be quite handy

In iD editor:

  • Draw the round parts as separate circles (using key “o”)
  • Place them in the correct location
  • Draw an additional area covering the whole object and use the circles as guideline, following the outline of each circle by using the “f” key as far as necessary.
  • Delete the separate circles and leave the outline of the whole object.

It sounds a bit complicated but it is quite simple indeed.

It is very easy in vespucci, just select 3 nodes and then “create a circle” in the three dot menu. Maybe you can give that a go. (oops duplicate comment)

The problem ist not creating the circle (which works similar in all the editors) but to combine 3 or 4 circles to one single area, as described above.
