I am trying to make a bathymetric nautical map. The youtube video I am using to learn does not have a bounding box around the saved data from openmaps, but mine does?
Although some point and line features are recorded for use in e.g. OpenSeaMap, the OpenStreetMap database doesn’t generally have bathymetric data for a similar reason to it not having terrain data.
Inkscape seems an odd choice of software for merging OSM data with other data as I’m not aware of it being able to handle geographic coordinates.
What is the actual “chain” of software/services you are trying to use to get from raw OpenStreetMap data to a finished map?
