House number <> street number

I’m currently mapping in Ilulissat in Greenland. Buildings in Ilulissat typically have two numbers:

  • the street number, increasing/decreasing as one walks down the street, and
  • the building number (“B-number”) which is more random and seems related to when the building was built
Both numbers have significance, and they are typically both posted on signs on houses, see these photos I took.

In a smaller town on the little island Uummannaq not far from Ilulissat (by Greenlandic scale), houses have only B-numbers, i.e. those which don’t necessarily increase as you walk down the street.

Now, how do I best map this: Do we have a tag for building numbers, distinct from addr:housenumber?

there are some similar situations, e.g. in some cities in Italy there are red and black housenumbers (different numbers for the same buildings, afaik in Genoa), and in some other areas there are conscription numbers additionally to building numbers.

There is also the possibility to add „ref“ to buildings
