HOT Tasking Manager: v4.6.0 is live!

Summer has arrived, and if you’re seeking to inject some positivity into the start of the month, we have good news :slightly_smiling_face:. The latest release, TM v4.6.0, is now available, and we’re eager to share all the exciting updates it brings. Likewise, this blog post will be different from our previous ones as we won’t be discussing the specific updates from May but instead, focus on the noteworthy features introduced in this new version.

:loudspeaker: What’s there in v4.6.0?

In addition to the various improvements and bug fixes included in this release, there are also enhancements made to the underlying infrastructure. These infrastructure upgrades aim to provide a more robust and reliable system, enhance security measures, improve database performance, and optimize overall operations to deliver an improved user experience. Let’s dive into more details!

New Features:

  1. Recommendation of Similar Projects: On the project detail page, users will now find a section at the bottom displaying similar projects, allowing for better project discovery and engagement.

  1. Mark All Notifications as Read: Users can now mark all notifications as read with a single click, streamlining the notification management process.

  1. Delete feature in the project chat messages: Users can now delete comments in the project’s question and comment section. The feature will also be available to project managers along with the author.

  1. Project Categories Display: The project detail page now includes the display of project categories, providing users with quick insights into project themes and areas of interest.

Other fixes and enhancements:

  1. Maxar Premium Imagery Updates #5774 #5762: There was a quick fix done for Rapid and an iD Editor Maxar Premium Imagery key update.
  2. Task URL Link Generation #5720: The issue with task URL link generation has been resolved, ensuring the correct and functional generation of task links.
  3. Private Team Visibility #5724: Private teams are now hidden on the organization detail view for users without manage permission, enhancing privacy and access control.
  4. Project Completion Issues #5644: The project summary caching issue affecting project completion has been fixed, ensuring accurate project completion tracking.
  5. Contribution Stats Fix #5666: The number of contributors will now appear to be consistent across the project card and project detail page.
