Horrors are written on the maps of Russia

how can I obtain such info? (If that would help in tracking down the problem)

Try now. I have:

  1. Edited a node in the region (forces a re-render)
  2. Purged some cache entries from Fastlu.

curl -v https://tile.openstreetmap.org/15/19112/9304.png >tile2.png

still got me the old file a minute or so ago, but doing that again now gets me the correct one:

tile

On most PC operating systems, a command prompt will allow you to type “nslookup tile.openstreetmap.org” and you’ll get information back about which server is responding and what addresses are returned to you for thoae names.

On a phone you’ll basically get what you’re given by the provider of your SIM card or a wifi network you connect to, subject to any APN settings you may have changed or VPN software you may have installed.

The relevant headers that indicate where you are being served from are the X-Tilerender and X-Served-By headers.
