The Hillary Trail (Relation: Hillary Trail (371816) | OpenStreetMap) exists as a relation in OSM. Due to part of the parks closure to manage Kauri Dieback Disease, some of the ways that make up this relation are closed with access=no tags (example Way: Hamilton Track (552939160) | OpenStreetMap). Just after some thoughts on how to best manage this - should the relation be removed from the closed ways? Or is there a way to indicate that part of the relation is not accessible without necessarily removing the way from it?
It is unclear if the closures will be permanent or temporary, the closures have been in place since 2017 and the Auckland Council have stated they are still working through what the future of the trail will be.
