Hi everyone,
I logged on to Umap today for the first time in about a month. I used to use Twitter to access Umap, but I lost the ability to do so for about a week in February (I think this was a common problem, there was a help topic created about it at the time). Once I was able to get into my account through Twitter again I switched to using Open Street Map as my access provider. As far as I can tell this went smoothly and I had no issues accessing the map I created.
I have (had?) only one map created. However, when I went to sign in today for the first time in about a month my dashboard is empty: “You have no maps yet”. Regardless of whether I sign in through Twitter or OSM this is the case. I am positive that I haven’t deleted my map, does anyone have any ideas what could have happened to cause it to disappear, or if there is anything I could do to retrieve it?
I still have the link to my map, but it is editors-only so I’m not sure that providing it would be helpful.
One other strange thing about my account that I noticed which may or may not be related: my username in Umap seems to have changed and now has an extra string of letters/numbers following it: it used to be “KaylaD40267529” and now it is “KaylaD40267529a5473d7507f64c5c”. My username in OSM has remained the same (“KaylaD40267529”). Could it be that my OSM log-in is somehow linked to a different new account?
Apologies for the long winded question, I am relatively new to Umap/OSM, so any help is appreciated. I spent several months making my map, it was quite tedious work and the idea of having lost everything and having to start over is very disheartening.
Thanks in advance!
